We were tasked with a landmark project that required construction vehicle access via one of Melbourne's busiest pedestrian precincts. An innovative pedestrian management device was specified as a means of safely and efficiently managing pedestrians, but was facing approval resistance.
We conducted pedestrian and traffic surveys at the site, interviewed the device supplier and undertook observation of the device in use. We presented our findings in a comprehensive report and met authority decision makers to present the case to introduce the innovative pedestrian management device. After consideration the road authority agreed to the introduction of the device, which has provided Probuild with immediate improvements in public safety and ongoing construction efficiency gains.
